Miral - Humans of Camp America

The weird thing for me was coming home and not being able to explain all the crazy, fun and challenging things I did at camp. The only people I could talk about this experience with, were the friends I made at camp! It has been almost three years now and I'm still in contact with a lot of my camp friends.
For me, camp was about growing up. I’ve not just learnt about how to be responsible of a group of kids, but I've also learned a lot about myself. It sounds really cliche I know.. But it's true. You work in a group of people 24/7 for nine weeks or more. It’s so much fun, but it can be hard sometimes and that’s where you get to know yourself.
JUST DO IT. You won't regret it. It seems like a scary thing at the beginning, but it's all worth it. You'll make friendships that'll last forever and you'll fall in love with the camp. It'll feel like your second home and you'll wanna go back every summer. At least, that's how it is for me.
