Camp Overview
At 6 Points Sports Academy, young Jewish athletes from across +33 states and 7 countries participate in a unique camping experience that combines professional sports coaching and the beloved traditions of Reform Jewish camping.
Our programs are open to athletes entering grades 4 through 12.
Campers feed their passion for sports at 6 Points and strengthen their identity as Jewish athletes! Our unique approach to Jewish education promotes Jewish identity building throughout the course of each day. Our campers not only improve their athletic abilities, they build self-confidence, strong connections to their peers and grow into proud Jewish athletes.
At 6 Points we:
Develop athletic skills through intensive training with top-level coaches in state-of-the art facilities. Embrace Judaism through our seamlessly integrated Jewish Values education program. Foster connections by providing a safe, comfortable environment in which to have fun. Build self-confidence by setting goals, challenging, encouraging each other and celebrating our successes. Staff Time Off
Every staff member receives one program period off each day where they may relax on campus or grab something to eat off campus (Covid permitting).
Once staff have fulfilled their evening obligations they may enjoy the athletic facilities, staff lounge or leave campus (Covid Permitting). They must be back on campus by 12am and in their own room by curfew at 12:30am. Staff will rotate being on duty in the dorms where they will be required to stay in the dorms for the evening and awake until all campers are asleep and dismissed by supervisor. (Covid Permitting)
Each staff member receives one day off each session (3 12 day sessions) as well as 1 day off during each of the two intersessions. During a staff members day off they may leave campus and may even stay off of campus with notice to leadership (Covid Permitting).
Staff Qualities
Competent, energetic applicants who demonstrate a love of working with young people; a desire to help build a community; an ability to work independently as well as part of a team; a passion for sports; and a connection or desire to learn about Judaism. Previous camp experience is preferred, but it’s your attitude and willingness to learn that really make the difference. We set the bar high each summer, but we are also committed to YOUR growth. We provide training at the start of the summer season and offer ongoing support throughout the summer so your experience is as great as the campers’ experiences.
All staff members must be at least 18 years of age or entering their freshman year in college. We expect that all staff members display a high level of personal and professional responsibility. Camp living is in “tight quarters” and works best when each person is caring, responsible, and supportive. 6 Points Sports Academy has high standards for the behavior and conduct of its employees. While the work at camp is very demanding, it also extremely fulfilling.
