Camp Overview
Camp Alleghany celebrates its 100th Summer in 2022!
Located on the Greenbrier River in the Alleghany Mountains of West Virginia, Camp Alleghany remains true to its principles of growth through honor, loyalty and friendship. We provide a safe haven for girls ages 7 to 16 to develop their skills and confidence through fun activities, building their self-esteem and maturing as leaders. We offer a variety of activities including target sports (rifle, archery), waterfront (canoeing, swimming), preforming arts (dance, drama, singing), and more. Away from peer pressure and academic expectations, young women grow into confident and successful individuals, capable of excelling in whatever they should put their minds to.

Staff Time Off
Staff get 1 full day off per week during term camp (6 days) and additional time during staff training. Time off can be spent in or out of camp, and we provide shuttles into town.
Counselors also have one hour during the day, and some evenings free.
