Camp Barney Medintz, established in 1963, is an amazing, culturally Jewish overnight camp located on 540 acres (218 hectares) in the Blue Ridge mountains. We are located in the southeastern United States, approximately one and a half hours north of Atlanta, Georgia with two lakes on our property. We have 1200+ campers, ages 7-17, and about 400 staff from many of states in the US and several countries join us for the months of June and July.
We have every imaginable activity including off-site trips, water skiing & wakeboarding, tubing, swimming, water slides and boating on 2 lakes & 2 swimming pools, backpacking, ropes courses, climbing walls and zip lines, horseback riding, tennis, mountain biking, karate, all field and court sports, music, theatre, dance, video, radio, cooking, arts & crafts, ceramics, scuba, photography and more! Whether you are hired to be a summer counselor living with the campers or to run activities, you will receive extensive training and be confident in the positive impact you will have on the campers.
