Camp Overview
Camp Liberty, owned and operated by Girl Scouts of the Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois, is located in eastern Iowa about 25 miles northwest of Davenport. The camp is situated on 245 rolling, wooded acres. Liberty is home to hiking and horseback riding trails, a prairie, a lake, an archery range, a sand volleyball court, a high and low ropes courses, a climbing wall and a zipline. Facilities include a brand new dining hall, swimming pool with a newly renovated shower house, trading post (camp store), health center, and a new equestrian center with 20 horses. Our living units include brand new indoor troop houses, cabins, platform tents, and primitive areas. Programs are offered Sunday through Friday with occasional weekends, June – August. Some specialty programs run 9+ nights. Regardless of theme, programs give girls opportunities to explore the world around them, build a sense of community and an appreciation of nature, develop new skills and self-confidence, and have fun. Caring and dedicated staff team. Scholarships available. All girls are welcome, no Girl Scout experience necessary.
