Camp Overview
Camp Louemma is a well-rounded traditional co-ed overnight camp set on 152 beautiful, scenic acres only 90 minutes from New York City. We are a smaller-sized, intimate camp with a true family atmosphere. We offer a wide variety of landsports including soccer, softball, ultimate frisbee, flag football, hockey, archery, beach volleyball and a 30 foot climbing tower with zip line. Additionally we have a private lake for boating, swimming pool, creative arts center including pottery and ceramics, full theater and performing arts program including dance, and miles of hiking along the Appalachian Trail.

Staff Time Off
Staff are off every other night from 9:15pm-12am in addition to one activity period each day, schedule permitting. Staff are also provided three full days off during the summer.
Staff Qualities
We are only interested in staff committed to providing our campers with the most amazing summer ever. Counselors should have the abilities to organize and engage campers in age appropriate activities, create a safe, fun and nurturing environment and be the positive role model campers come to respect and rely on. Teach campers to care for themselves, care for others, care for the earth and become positive role models. Counselors should also have the abilities to remain calm in all situations, recognize teachable moments and take advantage of them, possess an excellent work ethic and ability to self-motivate and work within the group while teaching others how to collaborate. They must allow for all voices to be heard and be Passionate, Confident, Creative, Driven with a Zany Playfulness and Inspirational Support.
