Camp Overview
Girl power in the outdoors! Camp Potomac Woods is located an hour away from Washington, DC in Leesburg, VA, and is a forested wonderland along the Potomac River for girls age 5-17. You’ll find an archery range, playing fields, sand volleyball court, swimming pool, hiking trails, river walk, fishing dock, and eco-lab for all of your nature needs. Explore your creative side in our arts and crafts lodge! Staff and campers stay in one of 9 Glen Shelter units, with opportunities to overnight in hammocks or tents. Most programs are 1-week in length with campers arriving on Sundays and departing on Fridays. Facilities at camp include a dining hall where meals are served family-style, an arts and crafts building, swimming pool, 2 shower houses, health center, and a staff house for your relaxation. Weekly activities include an all-camp picnic on Sunday and Thursday Celebration Night, as well as program specific activities.

Staff Qualities
We are looking for staff dedicated to youth development, who are considerate and caring of others, eager to learn new skills, responsible and respectful, flexible, and eager to be a mentor to peers and campers. Be willing to challenge yourself- dance in the rain, sing around a campfire, walk happily through the woods, gaze at the stars, get splashed in the face, and eat gooey marshmallows over a campfire.
