Camp Overview
Girl Scouts of Suffolk County's Camp Sobaco is located on 42 acres of Pine Barrens on the banks of the Carman's River in Yaphank. It is co-ed full-day camp for children entering grades 1-6 and a trip or special guest per week, STEM activities, archery, swimming, crafts and more!

Staff Time Off
Day Camp staff will work from approximately 8am until 5pm, Monday through Friday. Staff will rotate periodically to cover Sleepaway Camp, which will consist of a 3pm to 9am shift, Sunday through Friday morning. Staff will also rotate covering Before and After Care. Unless on a Sleepaway Camp shift, staff will have evenings and weekends off. Staff on a Sleepaway Camp shift will have days off and a modified weekend off.
