Camp Overview
Camp Somerset for Girls reopened in 2018, combining an extraordinary history and tradition with a new team of experienced directors and staff, on a campus rebuilt from the ground up. While we are extraordinarily proud of the beautiful facilities, incredible activities, and unique experiences offered, we are most proud of the inclusive community we have created. It is one where every child will feel a sense of belonging and acceptance and a desire to return each summer.

Staff Time Off
Counselors work every day of the week, and get 1-2 free periods off per day. There are 5 days off during the summer. These days off begin at 9:30 p.m. the night before and end at curfew on the following night.
Staff Qualities
Our entire staff is made up of college students or graduates, with an average age of 21. Best of all, we’re female first. While we’ll always hire the best person, we believe there’s no job at our camp that can’t be done by a strong and competent woman. And that’s a message we intend to send to our campers, every day.
