Camp Overview
Camp Sycamore Hills, established in 1958, is situated on 742 acres of land divided by Sycamore Creek and is the largest camp owned and operated by Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee. Girls may experience crossing the swinging bridge, hiking the Happy Birdsong trail, riding horses at the barn, and sliding down the Red Barn slide. Activities include canoeing, CORCLs, gaga ball, high adventure, horses, outdoor skills, and swimming in our new aquatics center. Camp Sycamore Hills has cabins and screened cabins, with bathrooms located in or near all sleeping units. Our campers agree Camp Sycamore Hill is truly a place to be me.
Most positions for international staff will begin May 27 with a light day of work; positions that require additional training and certifications will begin earlier that same week. We will provide certification trainings for Lifeguards, canoeing/kayaking, high ropes/adventure challenge course, tree climbing, archery and first aid for those interested or hired to facilitate those programs.

Staff Qualities
Camp Sycamore Hills staff are caring, compassionate, team players, and are problem solvers. Our staff can see a spark in our campers and encourage them to pursue their talents and dreams, so they are stronger and more courageous when they leave camp. We can teach you the activities and the routine – but we want staff to come with responsibility and the desire to make the world a better place. Though our focus is always on our campers, Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee takes staff development and safety seriously. In addition to the basics (food, shelter, wifi, PPE, laundry) staff will have access to professional development, self-care, and recreation opportunities. This is one of the hardest jobs that you will ever have but is also one of the most fulfilling.
