Camp Overview
Tejas is a Christian camp committed to serving, training and encouraging while proclaiming God’s word in a fun, unique, and hospitable setting. We desire our staff and guests to experience the love of Christ by providing a Christian retreat focused on hospitality. During the summer months Tejas hosts churches that facilitate 4-5 day camps. This summer you would be part of our summer ministry team. We hire about 60 students to help facilitate camp. SMT members work in a mixed environment of recreation: leading activities and games, and food service: serving, clean up, and concessions. Our staff lives in nice rooms separate from campers. Each room accommodates 3-4 staff. Our Christian discipleship program is essential. We strive to be a community of believers in Jesus, serve those around us, and grow in God’s word. Weekly bible studies, bible memorization, and discussions are ways we grow in our relationship with Jesus.
