Staff Time Off
Staff members have 2 hours off per day Monday through Friday. There are 2 weekends that staff members will be on duty during the summer, but otherwise staff have off Friday evenings at 5:30 p.m. through Sunday evenings at 6:30 p.m. Staff are always welcome to stay at camp over the weekend if they wish.
Staff Qualities
A dynamic staff member at Camp Whitcomb/Mason is fun, happy, kind and understanding to campers and fellow staff members. They have the physical stamina to be active all summer long and the emotional stamina to live closely with a staff of 52 and new campers each week. Dynamic staff members are always looking for ways to connect and relate to youth and keep them active and occupied, while working as a team with their co-counselor and staff team.
