Camp Overview
Cub Creek Science Camp is the only summer camp in the United States with its own zoo! We have more than 300 exotic animals including sloths, porcupines, wallabies, llamas, lemurs, foxes, parrots, snakes and more! All of our animals are handled and cared for by the campers & counselors. We live in modern air-conditioned cabins for 12 weeks each summer and make friends from around the world while learning about science, animals and nature. We offer activities including; Pottery, Crafts, Crime Science, Chemistry, Survival Skills, Archery, Six Element Ropes Course, Veterinary Medicine and Adopt-an-Animal. We are looking for adventurous, outgoing team members who want to spend the summer making a difference in the lives of children. Our goal is to teach children to be true to themselves, appreciate nature and be good stewards of our planet.

Staff Qualities
We are looking for team members that are honest, outgoing, personable and adventurous. We expect our team to be willing to be silly when it’s called for! Participation in our theme days, evening activities and the singing of camp songs is a must! We also require team members to be comfortable sleeping outside one night per week on campout night, occasional hiking and spending time outdoors. Since we are an animal camp, we prefer team members who are comfortable handling animals. They will be trained in proper handling techniques when they arrive at camp.
