Camp Overview

Elks Camp Moore stands out as the ultimate destination for your summer experience. Nestled in a serene environment, our overnight residential camp caters exclusively to individuals aged 7-21 with special needs and disabilities. We maintain a remarkable 1:1 or 1:2 staff-to-camper ratio, ensuring every camper receives individualized care and support. This allows you to truly make a difference in the lives of our campers, fostering meaningful connections and personal growth.

Enjoy modern facilities with fully air-conditioned facilities, Wi-Fi access throughout camp, and cabin fridges/pantries, etc. Our commitment to comfort extends to our staff, who have their own cabins for restful nights off-duty—a rare luxury in the camp industry.

Our campers engage in a dynamic 7-day program (Sunday late afternoon - Saturday morning) filled with enriching activities. From Arts & Crafts to Music & Movement, Swimming, Sports & Recreation, and Nature & Science, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. We embrace our daily themed activities that encourage creativity, self-expression, and spontaneity. Whether it’s dressing up for themed days or leading engaging sessions, you’ll have the opportunity to infuse your personality into the camp experience.

At Elks Camp Moore, you’ll become part of a supportive community dedicated to enriching the lives of our campers. Your summer here isn’t just a job—it’s a chance to create lasting memories and friendships while making a REAL impact.

Staff Time Off

We pride ourselves on making each and every day the best day our campers have ever had. We will work very long tiring hours, but you'll be making a large impact on the families that we serve providing the campers a camp experience and families some time for themselves.

We are 1hr bus ride from Camp to Times Square in NYC. Perfect for weekend day off travel. Additional weekend opportunities such as baseball games, are planned annually for our staff to have the opportunity to participate in. Shops, fast food, etc. are within walking distance from camp and weekly WALMART trips are organized for the staff.

Staff days off include when campers are NOT onsite, which is Saturday noon to Sunday Noon. Staff Time off includes daily rest hours (after lunch) as well as evenings when you are not supervising the campers in their cabins.

Staff Qualities

No previous experience is required. FULL training will be given during staff training. Staff MUST come with the willingness and understanding that we will be providing social, emotional, personal care, and behavioral support to campers who require support in their daily lives.

Staff will develop independence and confidence. You'll grow your skills and abilities to be able to tackle new life goals and start a new career or university course. ECM will be the foundation of the next chapter of your life and is a great CV/Resume builder.

This would be the summer of a lifetime that you'll want to repeat annually! You'll make lifelong friends while at ECM and the more you embrace the experience the more rewarding it will be. We call ourselves SMILE MAKERS for a reason! You'll be working but having fun at the same time.
