Camp Overview
Falcon Camp is a residential summer camp that is privately owned by Dave Devey. The camp is located in Carrollton, Ohio. Falcon accepts boys and girls between the ages of 6-16. Our mission is to promote physical, mental, social, and emotional growth. We are a small camp with a maximum of 100 campers which creates a family atmosphere to build authentic relationships with your campers and make lifelong friends. In this family oriented atmosphere, all counselors live in a cabin with campers as well as work in an activity area. Our mission is to promote physical, mental, social, and emotional growth for all campers and staff.

Staff Time Off
Daily Time Off: Staff receive a rest hour between 1-2PM daily. After campers are in bed, staff members are able to enjoy approximately 2-3 hours of off time before bed depending on the age of the campers. Staff rotate a duty schedule for watching the children during rest hour and bedtime.
Days Off: Staff receive six days off throughout the summer for a nine week contract. Days off are normally taken in 48 hour blocks. Staff are responsible for transportation to and from days off but often can catch a ride from a fellow staff member or use local ride share services. Many staff choose to visit nearby cities such as Canton, Cleveland and Pittsburgh.
Staff Qualities
Initiative: Camp prides itself on the family atmosphere we create for both campers and staff. In order to create that culture, staff strive to better themselves as a cabin counselor and activity leader by reflecting and improving on how their words and actions have an impact on Falcon's overall mission of social, emotional, mental and physical growth. A Falcon counselor searches for and implements new ideas, asks questions, and creates positive connections with others.
Dedication: A staff member who excels at Falcon tackles new challenges and completes them to the best of their ability working within the overall structure of Falcon guidelines and principles.
Enthusiasm: You can find a lot of smiling, singing, laughing, and games at Falcon. This is intentional. Positive attitudes are contagious and create a fun work environment for all.
Teamwork/Cooperation: Being a camp counselor is one of the toughest yet most rewarding jobs. Falcon staff support each other as friends and co-workers. We work hard, listen to each other ideas, and agree to tackle all disagreement in a professional and respectable manner. This allows staff to walk away from the summer with so many positive memories, lifelong friendships, and essential life skills for future career opportunities.
Flexibility: Camp is a place where we are beholden to things out of our control such as a weather, illness, and other unexpected circumstances. Staff who excel at Falcon are able to think outside of the box and prepare a back up plan.
