Nestled in Marin's stunning hills, Camp Bothin resides in a tranquil, tree-covered canyon where laughter and creativity abound, entwined with enduring traditions that draw our campers back year after year. Picture crafting inventions amidst gadgets in our maker space, stargazing to explore celestial wonders, and unleashing artistic expressions.
Dive into performance arts, STEM challenges, and camp-wide events. Unwind in the warmth of camp magic, bonding with friends around the campfire and savoring delightful s'mores. Camp Bothin is a welcoming community, evoking a sense of belonging and comfort akin to home.
Living at Bothin:
Staff at Camp Bothin live in open air cabins, yurts, or dormitory-style historic buildings. Living units consist of shared sleeping space with you and your other counselors as well as an indoor unit bathroom with flush toilets, showers, sinks, and electricity. Staff live in separate cabins from the campers, so you can expect to be housed with other counselors in a “staff cabin”.

Hmm... What's your role?
Staff Time Off
Each day, you will receive 3 hours of personal time-- for showering, doing laundry, checking emails, etc. You will also have one night off per week (from 6pm-12am) and most Saturdays off. During these off times, you will have access to the staff lounge, which has couches, TV, wifi, electricity, and a small kitchenette—as well as a set of showers reserved for staff only. On your time off, you are able to leave camp. Transportation is not always provided—you may need to coordinate with other staff. Our camp is located in a small town, and it’s about 45 minutes north of San Francisco. We do provide transportation for supply runs to stores upon your arrival.
Meals:
We eat meals family style in a large dining hall. You will eat your meals with campers and other staff (unless you are on your time off). We serve kid-friendly meals—you should expect things like grilled cheese, tacos, chicken nuggets, pasta, etc. We have a full salad bar at lunch and dinner. We can accommodate most dietary restrictions, including (but not limited to): allergies, vegetarianism, veganism, and gluten free diets.
Staff Qualities
Our participants are ages 7-17, and our camp welcomes anyone who identifies with the girl experience. We follow a culture code that is deeply focused on community, inclusion and belonging. In our staff, we look for role models who are eager to connect with campers, help them feel seen, heard, and accepted, and provide a fun and memorable experience in the outdoors.
