Staff Qualities
Heart Counselors are fun! They are selected based on their integrity, suitability to be role models, sense of humor, and teaching skills. Typically they have completed at least one year of college or are at least 21 years of age and have special skills that qualify them as counselors. Often times, these young women become good friends and forever mentors; strong bonds and a relationship of trust, compassion, and respect should be formed with them as they are the campers’ guides through their time here at camp. Counselors live in the tepee with campers and teach the activities during the day.
