Camp Overview
Island Lake is a coed sleepaway camp in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, 2½ hours from NYC. We were founded on a philosophy of individual attention and achievement. Our campers choose their own activities and create their own daily schedules. This means that you, as an instructor, will only have campers coming to your classes who want to be there.

Staff Time Off
Our time-off policies are as followed: one hour off each day, one night off each week, five days off throughout the course of the summer. In addition, no curfew is imposed on our staff members on days and nights off.

We are not there to look over your shoulder and criticize you and the job you are doing.
