Camp Overview
Kingswood is a traditional boys camp (ages 8-15) located on the shores of Lake Tarleton, in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Our program is dynamic - every sport you can imagine, tons of activities on the lake, all the traditional 'camp' activities, and lots of opportunities to hike. We are fortunate to have tremendous campers, and we are looking for staff who can serve as role models - who are kind, thoughtful, encouraging, engaged, and thoroughly enjoy being in the presence of children. We strongly believe that campers have the most fun when the staff is having fun, so we work hard to make sure counselors have a varied schedule, have input into their day-to-day schedule, and are given the opportunity to pursue their interests.

Staff Time Off
Every staff member gets one full day off a week and one evening off (6pm until midnight). In the mornings counselors typically teach or assist two-one hour long clinics, and have one hour long block free. The afternoons are divided into two 90 minute blocks; counselors work one of those blocks and are free the other block. Counselors attend all meals, help with cabin clean up, and supervise rest hour and bedtime. Typically counselors are free after they put their cabin to bed, unless they are assigned to be in the cabin area.
Staff Qualities
Character is the most important trait - we are looking for kind, thoughtful, encouraging, and fun-loving counselors. We offer a variety of activities, and we want counselors who are comfortable (and excited about) leading or supporting several different activities. We will provide lifeguard training and wilderness first aid training and encourage as many of our counselors as possible to get these certifications, as that will allow him/her to have greater flexibility in assignments.
