our life changes here! In a gorgeous nature setting, NEOC is alive with learning, discovery, and creativity. As a camp only formed in 2022, the NEOC team has the unique chance to help to shape both the camp culture and reputation in the community, in addition to making a difference in the lives of campers and having an incredible summer experience themselves. We intentionally design each summer to be as memorable for our team as for our campers — each week is packed with singing, traditions, and a theme day. And that is just the fun that goes on during camp days! Our team enjoys nights and weekends off and can opt into evening events on the campus of our sponsored housing, enjoy dinners with local team members, and join in organized, weekend, day trips to places like the beach and amusement parks! Want to explore on your own? All that Boston offers is just a 20-minute subway ride away and New York City is three hours away by bus.

Staff Time Off
Days and Hours:
Days: Monday through Friday
Hours: 8:00AM - 6:00PM (hours may shift based on busing and meals as needed) with two half hour breaks during the camp day - great timing for connecting with family and friends from home especially with the time difference!
Off Duty: From 6:00PM each evening of the week
Curfew: 11:00 PM curfew enforced Sunday through Thursday.
Meeting: Mandatory Monday evening meeting each week for no longer than an hour - with a chance to win some prizes!
Staff Time Off
Every Sunday to Thursday evenings free from 6:00pm to 11:00pm for curfew. Free all weekend from 6:00pm on Friday to 11:00pm Sunday. BONUS: Counselors do not have to work the 4th of July holiday so can enjoy the celebrations and fireworks in Boston - where better to celebrate!
Staff Qualities
NEOC hires individuals who love working with children and not only want to have the best summer of their lives but want our campers to have that too. We look for people who are enthusiastic, fun-loving, creative, hard-working, tolerant, respectful, and kind. We want staff who know how amazing being in nature is for children and how important being outside is to help create the best memories of childhood. We search for diverse staff from all over the world because we know and appreciate the benefit to our campers in learning about other cultures through camp counselors who love and support them. Most of all we search out staff who are willing to bring passion for enriching the lives of our children and want to be incredible role models for our campers!
