Camp Overview
NJY Camps Milford consists of 3 camps serving campers from 7-17 years old. We are a traditional sleepaway camp, one of the largest in the country, offering over 75 different activities for campers including pools, lakes, ropes courses, athletics, performing arts, art shops and science electives. Nah-Jee-Wah is for children entering grades 1-6, Cedar Lake for children entering grades 7-9, and Teen Camp for campers entering grades 10-11. The Round Lake inclusion program, for children with special needs, is incorporated into each of the camps. Staff are provided with a period off each day in addition to 2-3 hours most evenings. Additionally, all staff are entitled to one day-off per week, save for our staff training week at the beginning of the summer. Please see below for staff programming provided during time off.
Staff stay in cabins with wooden bunk beds. Each cabin has at least 2 toilets, showers and sinks, as well as outlets with electricity throughout the cabin. Program staff and counselors live in bunks together with campers. Support staff live in cabins with other support staff members.
