Camp Overview
Camp Harkness is a lovely park like setting, located on the Connecticut shoreline. We are just two hours north of New York City and 2 hours south of Boston hours. We are a residential camp serving adults and children with special needs. Many of our campers require assistance with daily living skills such as bathing and oral care. Some activities which our campers enjoy include: hiking, horseback riding, ocean swimming, waterskiing, attending dances and other musical events, boating, talent shows, games, yoga, gardening/ cooking, and various field trips to local restaurants, museums and parks.
Counselors live in cabins. Up to 3 counselors share a room and 6 campers share a common space. There is a common restroom with hot water shower. Wifi is available for use in the arts and craft building during breaks.
