Camp Overview
Sea Star Base Galveston (SSBG) is a high-tech, state-of-the-art complex sitting on ten beautiful acres overlooking Offatts Bayou. SSBG has a fleet of 39-boats; a seagoing classroom equipped with the latest technology; a fully handicapped accessible, state of the art building; swimming pool; and modern-day marina. Sea Star Base Galveston (SSBG) is a high adventure marine and maritime destination whose mission is to provide aquatic education programs that instil lifetime leadership, teamwork skills, and independence in body, mind, and spirit. SSBG summer camps also offer standard fare of camp programs including archery, fishing, swimming pool, team sports, marine biology, STEM, arts & crafts, chess. Our summer camps take place from Sunday to Friday each week. Resident (overnight) camp begin on Sunday, and day camp begin on Monday.

Staff will have a minimum of 24 hours free each weekend and one night off each week.
Staff Qualities
People who are passionate about working with children and helping them to grow. This growth occurs in discovering confidence, gaining independence, learning a new skill, creating friendships, and having fun. Working in a summer camp is also a place where people can advance this growth in themselves.
