Camp Overview
For over 50 years Stronghold Summer Camp has impacted thousands of people from around the world and produced many life-changing experiences. An atmosphere of community and God’s love is central to our program. Opportunities abound for making new friends, strengthening old friendships, meeting people from around the world, developing individual talents and leadership abilities, challenging yourself, learning new skills, deepening your faith, and having tons of fun! Campers are challenged to build a Christ-centered community of acceptance, trust, sharing, and forgiveness as they play, laugh, and grow spiritually, physically, emotionally, and socially. During our summer we offer 6 weeks of residential and traveling day camp (traveling day camp is run at different churches in the area and stay with members of their community). We offer a wide variety of activities like swimming, archery, bible study, canoeing, high ropes, and many other. Stronghold is located 100 miles west of Chicago.

Staff Time Off
Typically Friday evening to Sunday at noon, though there are a couple weekend inter-generational camps. Staff get a 4 day break over the 4th of July holiday.
Staff Qualities
We are looking for friendly, motivated Christians. We look for staff who are flexible and able to adapt. We have a wide variety of camps so we also look for people who are looking for variety and willing to prepare for and do many different things. All staff must be willing to get up in front of everyone to lead games, lead prayer, or any other task needed.
