Camp Overview
Since 1915, Hive has offered campers a summer experience full of fun and friendship. At camp, we intentionally leave behind some of the distractions of our daily worlds. We talk to each other face to face and make our own music. We explore the creek and woods. We laugh together, choose our own adventures, and have fun in a simple setting, tucked between the lake and the hills.
Hivers learn the true value each and every camper brings to the community. With the help of outstanding mentors, Hivers have joyful, activity-filled days while gaining independence, strenghtening their problem-solving skills, and living harmoniously with others.
Hive welcomes 3rd-6th grade girls and gender nonbinary youth. We invited families to learn more about us and discover if our camps are a good fit for you and your child.
Do you have the skills they're looking for?
We asked the camp what positions they are looking to fill at the recruitment fair. Look out for the big thumbs up!
Are you looking to hire Waterfront staff and Lifeguards at the fair?
Are you looking to hire counsellors with Sports & Horse Riding skills at the fair?
Are you looking to hire counselors with Outdoor Adventure & Nature Skills at the fair?
Are you looking to hire counselors with Creative & Performing Arts skills at the fair?
Counsellor Roles:
Here's a list of all the positions this camp commonly hires for!
Hmm... What's your role?
Staff Time Off
Staff are given 5 days off over the course of the summer. They can explore the surrounding area with other counselors. We make drivers and vans available. Once campers go to bed at 8:30pm, counselors have the eveings off to hang out.
Staff Qualities
We are looking for counselors who are great people. We know that we can teach folks a certain skill or how to be a good counselor. However, we want good people first. We want people who are energetic, love the outdoors, love collaboration, and believe in the strength of community.
