Camp Overview
Since 1877, The Fresh Air Fund has provided free summer opportunities to more than 1.8 million New York City children from low-income communities. Every summer, 3,000 campers attend one of their five overnight camps on a beautiful property 65 miles north of New York City. Each camp offers a well-rounded experience with activities ranging from photography, ceramics, robotics and creative writing to recreation, swimming and outdoor adventure. The Fresh Air Fund hires over 450 staff members from around the world to work at their camps in a variety of roles and staff members are hired to work at a specific Fresh Air Fund camp.
