URJ Camp Newman offers fun, immersive Jewish experiences that empower children, teens and adults to better themselves, their communities and the world. Nestled in the hills of Northern California Camp Newman summers are packed with outdoor activities like swimming, climbing and hiking. We offer tons of sports options including soccer, basketball, ultimate frisbee and so many more! Campers also enjoy visual and performing art activities like ceramics, mural painting, theater, singing, guitar and lots of dancing! At Camp Newman we strive to inspire a love of Reform Judaism and build an accepting and welcoming community for all of our campers and staff.

Staff Time Off
Each staff member gets a full 24 hours off each week. Also, every staff member gets one hour off every day, determined by their unit head.
Staff Qualities
We look for staff members who are dedicated to their specialty and the happiness and health of their campers. We look for Energetic staff as well as staff who are able to level with campers who may be having a hard time.
