Camp Overview
YMCA Camp Lakewood is where kids come in the summer time to make new friends, learn new skills, and most importantly, have fun! Campers will forget all about their electronics while discovering the ultimate childhood experience. Children also gain knowledge of the world around them through culturally-diverse staff, all within the incredibly fun and safe environment of the Y.
With a 360-acre lake, over 5,000 acres of forest-covered hills, caves, creeks and more, there are many opportunities for natural exploration and experiential learning. Whether it's campfires, arts and crafts, archery, paintball, climbing, sports, sailing, or a multitude of other activities and camp games, every camper delights in waking up with a renewed sense of excitement as to what each day at camp will bring!

Staff Time Off
All staff will be off Friday evening through Sunday morning weekly as well as a one hour break daily from Monday - Thursday. Staff will also have a 3 day mid-summer break.
Staff Qualities
