Camp Overview
YMCA Camp Loma Mar is located in the beautiful California Red Woods just an hour south of San Francisco. We have one week of staff training and then 8 weeks of traditional overnight summer camp. We serve campers from ages 7-17 and have a teen development program called LIT's/CIT's. We have many, many activities but we are a nature based camp focused on connecting youth and staff to nature/ each other creating a magical, unique experiences. Help us change some kids lives and get paid to have fun in nature.

Staff Time Off
Each counselor will get a period off each day and two nights out during the week. You will have every Saturday off besides one to explore California with your peers.
Staff Qualities
We are looking for staff with open hearts and open minds who have a passion for working with youth and their peers. We serve all demographics of kids and hire all demographics of staff. You need to be able to work and communicate with a vase diverse group of campers and staff. Willing to learn and always remember we are here for the kids first. We do overnight camping on a tarp and cook our own food one night and do some hiking so you will need to be comfortable in those areas. Be willing to be on stage sometimes so we can be a good example for the kids.
