Camp Overview
Sun-kissed mountain peaks and crisp starry nights. Forests filled with homemade forts and magic (and the occasional gnome!). The happy song-filled energy of dinner followed by quiet moments around the campfire.
YMCA Camp Watia is a place for children to unplug from devices and connect with the outdoors, new friends, and caring counselors. Fun, meaningful activities are carefully planned to help them explore new interests and build confidence. Campers learn what they can achieve with courage, perseverance, and support from those around them. We are an intentional community dedicated to providing opportunities for campers and staff to Dream, Dare, and Discover!
We provides opportunities for personal growth for our campers through activities including archery, drama, canoeing, rock climbing, paddle boarding, arts & crafts, fishing, group games, and more!

36 hours in between sessions and 1-3 hours during certain daily activities. If you are working the weekends, you can stay on site or go explore nearby cities with other staff.
