Camp Overview
Camp West Mar is both a day and overnight camp. The camp lies on 72 acres in the Catoctin Mountains of Central Maryland about 1 hour from Washington DC. We run a traditional camp for campers 6 to 14 where campers do all the traditional camp activities, canoeing, swimming, archery, athletics, campfire, and more.

Staff Time Off
For day camp staff they will work from 7:30- 5:00 and will have at least two night off per week. For overnight staff they will have two nights off per week starting at 6:30 pm.
All staff will be off every weekend from 6:00 pm Friday until 11:00 am on Sunday. During the camp day all staff will have at least 1/2 hour off for their lunch break, with up to 1 whole period off per day.
Staff Qualities
We are looking for staff that are open to inspiring our campers to try new things, make new friends. Working at summer camp requires a lot patience, working in all types of conditions, long days. We are looking for staff that have the
