Pay Less. Earn More.
With nowhere near as much work to do on your application behind the scenes, we’re able to get you through your application much quicker and lower the costs in the process. If you’re returning to the same camp, you can also renegotiate your own pocket money directly with the camp when discussing your role for next summer. If you’re going to a new camp, the fee will be fixed by Camp America, but it’ll still be more than your first summer. Please note this is not guaranteed for all countries – check out your returner costs using the link below.
Welcome home!
How it Works
We always encourage people to return to camp for at least one summer – and to help you do this, we make the application process even easier! If you’re applying for the same camp, you won’t need to be reinterviewed, and we’ll only need new references if you’ve skipped two or more summers. Looking for a new camp? You’ll need to re-interview with Camp America, and we’ll need new references, but one will be from your previous camp.

Thinking of going back to camp? You’re not alone. Here’s just a few reasons why past participants have returned to camp year after year.
I worked with children on the autistic spectrum at camp the summer of 2015 and 9 years later I'm still saying it was the best summer of my life!
Spending four summers working at an under-served summer camp has made me grateful in many ways and taught me the importance of creating opportunities for all children.
Camp is a truly life-changing experience and there is no better way to finish it off than travelling the USA after with all your new camp mates! I have done this every summer and had an incredible time.
This year will be my 7th year! I keep going back to camp because I can impact lives, grow culturally, and make life-long friends from all over the world.
My first year at camp was after being hired at a Camp America recruitment fair. Within a week of the campers arriving, they’d become little brothers which made returning the easiest decision I’d ever made.
The difference you can make and the changes you can see throughout the summer with the campers make every day worthwhile. I ended up doing 9 summers and wish I could keep going back!
