How It Works
Your after-camp travel is completely independent from your work placement at camp. As long as it’s within the 30 days granted by your visa, where you go and what you do in the USA is entirely up to you! Most participants start Camp America with a rough idea of travel plans, but once you make new friends at camp (both American and international) you might find new opportunities and inspired ideas with the best local knowledge.

Flexible Flights
To help you make the most of your travel time, Camp America lets you upgrade your return flight to a ‘Flexible Flight’ option. This means you don’t have to pick a return date or destination until at least two weeks before you want to come home. We can only offer this for flights to and from London, but it includes most major US airports so you don’t have to restrict yourself or run the risk of missing out!

Camp is a truly life-changing experience and there is no better way to finish it off than travelling the USA after with all your new camp mates! I have done this every summer and had an incredible time.
I have been to some amazing cities such as Chicago, Las Vegas, LA, San Fran, Nashville, and New York. I have a new love for so many cultures, cities, and music after my travels in the States!
After my 6th summer, we headed to Boston! You can visit Harvard, explore the aquarium or eat at the famous Quincy market! Personally this was my favourite place to travel after camp.
Travelling after camp has enabled me to visit amazing places, such as two islands of Hawaii, New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles! I wouldn't have had the opportunity if it wasn't for Camp America.
Were my post-camp travels worth it? Would I do it all again? Well, this year will be my third summer in a row… so you tell me!
After camp, I finally got my dream trip to New York. I had a blast exploring with some awesome friends I made at camp! It felt like a dream come true, and I'll always remember it!
