What is Campower?
Campower are the team who look after the camp itself, keeping everything running smoothly on a day-to-day basis. You could be answering phones and doing important admin in the Camp Office, or perhaps you’ll be responsible for feeding all the campers and staff 3 times a day! If you’re the outdoorsy type with practical skills, you might even find a position in the maintenance and groundskeeping teams, fixing anything that breaks and keeping camp looking beautiful. To apply for Campower, you must be a student in full-time education and meet all other eligibility requirements.
Campower Program Benefits
The biggest benefit of Campower is that you get to spend 9-12 weeks working on a summer camp without the responsibility of looking after the campers and with more pocket money (up to $2,150!). This also means you’ll have separate accommodation to campers and counselors, guaranteeing a good night sleep! Your daily routine and any breaks will also be far more fixed. But don’t worry, you can still get involved with everything that camp has to offer and make the most of camp facilities in your spare time.
